EVENT CHECK POINT
Duncan's Factory
Knock, and it shall be
opened unto you
Even with your feet not yet accustomed to rocky areas, it shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes to get to Duncan's Factory, which, as it says in the name, is owned by Mr. Duncan. Turn left at the spot where the railroad tracks are obstructed by boulders and proceed along the cliffside, and you'll abruptly catch sight of the modern exterior of a giant building, towering over everything.
This huge factory underwent a full-scale remodeling five years ago, and there are few who have accurate knowledge of just what in the world is being produced here. Naturally, it's easy for everyone to land on the guess that they're probably making cutting-edge arms and weapons, but even asking around town this doesn't seem to go any further than rumor.
Incidentally, should you show up here on a holiday, you'll need an official Pass. A certain terrorist organization is said to have been involved in forgery in order to gain entry to the factory, and since forged Passes beyond their expiration date are known to be on the ground from time to time, take care you don't mistake one for the real thing. But then, your brute strength, being where it's at already, may be enough to render a Pass completely unnecessary.

The Rocket-Launching Room
It can be launched even if a child tinkers with it!?
Way in the back on the highest floor of this vast, complex factory lies the rocket room. I'll leave it to your imagination what a series of launch pedestals are doing here. The pressing matter is your mission, which is to get help from your gadget-head friend and fire off a rocket at the big boulders.
Of course, like you, he's still young. His hands quiver at seeing such elaborate machinery for the first time, so only God knoweth where the rocket will end up.

[Photo: Chamber in an industrial building. It's hard to tell due to the lighting, but the platform in the middle may hold a missile of some kind.]▲Well, my friend, it's up to you.

EVENT CHECK POINT
Your objective at the factory is to launch a rocket. You won't be able to if Lloyd is Unconscious, so be careful.
❏ Did you get the Pass on your way to the factory?
❏ Did you launch the rocket?
[Screenshot: Ninten and Lloyd launch the rocket.]▲Rocket found! Approach and CHECK it, then Lloyd will press the launch switch and the rocket will take off on its own.
¹ Thanks to Biozilla for identifying the building.
² Thanks to Biozilla again for identifying Hatch Mesa (through confirmation from granis in this thread).
