Sweet Little Factory
A factory with a dark past that
belies its charming name
When, through pain and hardship, you finally make it out of Magicant, you spot a modern white building below the cliff at your left. But it'll be just a little bit later before you visit this place, which for some inscrutable reason is given the charming name of Sweet Little Factory.
After you go to Tinkle Elementary School and meet the boy who ought to become your friend, and your goal of getting a Pencil Rocket is made clear to you, you should brace yourself and plunge in (of course, despite the language I'm using, the enemies here aren't all that tough).
Incidentally, ever since the bigger factory to the north went major high-tech five years ago, this smaller one has fallen into disuse, but before then it was known as America's foremost manufacturer of missiles.
They say our Mr. Duncan built this factory when he got the plot of land on the cheap in a disposal sale from the federal government, agreeing behind closed doors to produce weapons in exchange.
This marriage of defense contractor and state may have been par for the course for this world, but can you possibly sense such a corrupt past from the factory as it is now, where the only thing that happens is mice scurrying in and out of gaps in the rusted pipes?

¹ Thanks to Biozilla for sleuthing this out, and residents of Mazatlán for helping him. He says he doesn't think he can pin down the exact building, but "you can see a ship in the far background, so it's near water". He's also figured out that the text visible on either side of the logo is part of the slogan. If you look closely (and know what you're looking for), you can just make out: "Toma [Pacífico logo] y nada mas...", or "Drink Pacífico and Nothing Else..."
² Thanks also to Biozilla for identifying this photo.
